the FUN AT THE PARK

This hat was built for fun.  Fun at the park on a winter-y day, that is.   Black and moss green yarns were used to make this knit hat.  It is double knit so it is very warm.  Have fun!!

the OSCARS

And the winner is...this golden beauty for outstanding performance by a knit hat while protecting a head from the chilly willy weather.  Oh, and the after awards party is at, well, you know.  Yum,Yum.  Home cooking'!

the SNOW DROP

It's like a gum drop...but not.  Actually, it's a hat dropped on the snow.  And a very pretty little hat, at that.  Knit with a mixture of white and pastel yarns, the hat is snuggly warm and the perfect cover up for a cold February morning.

the TWEEDY PIE

Blue, yellow and red yarns knit together give this hat a tweedy look.  The hat is thick and warm and just perfect for wearing on a cold, snowy day.

the ON WISCONSIN

Red and White!  Nice color combo for a cheery little hat especially when its worn while hiking through a military park on a cold, grey day in February.  Brightens the day (and the mood), don't you think?  The double layers of yarn give it extra thickness and warmth.  Go Badgers!!

the CHERRY

In honor of President George Washington's birth date may I present to you "the Cherry".  Beautiful (and very soft) red yarn mixed with green and brown yarns give this hat the necessary warmth for a cold February day.  I wonder if any hats like this were available to the militia when they were hunkered down during that winter encampment at Valley Forge.  brrrrr
