WINE BERRY
I really like the color of this hat. It is a dark red burgundy color. Extra thick for warmth and great protection for the ears. And, just the right color.

VERY GREEN
Wow! This hat is warm and it should offer some great protection from the cold, especially for the ears. It is double knit with four layers of yarn covering the ears. That should keep the cold wind at bay. And, the color is simply and delightfully green.

TIMELESS
...or maybe more like time stood still (for a brief moment). I like the wood frame of this clock and I think it looks really good next to this hat. This hat is knit from brown fleck yarn mixed with a golden colored yarn. It has a very warm look and feel and is a nice medium weight hat. tick-tock

RUPERT
I am naming this hat after a movie about a squirrel named Rupert. The movie was filmed in 1951 and was a black and white film. It was a very funny comedy about how a dancing squirrel came to be in a position to make people rich by accidentally giving them money. This hat, posed next to the squirrel garden statuary, just needs to be named Rupert. And, that's about it.

LAMMIE
Oh, how cute is this!! I just combined some light pink yarn with two different (yes, there's two) medium blue yarns and I came up with a very sweet little hat for a young girl. The yarns are as soft as the lamb's wool. Quite a pair, don't you think?

PATCHWORK
When I started making this hat I wasn't sure if I would have enough yarn to finish the project as I originally envisioned.....and I didn't. But I like the finished hat just the way it is. It's kind of patchwork-y. The bottom tweedy section is made by knitting four thinner yarns together to make one thicker yarn. The colors are off white, light grey, medium grey and a muted aqua. I really like this combination of colors. Then I ran out of yarn. I did have a brighter turquoise colored yarn that I decided to use and I came up with a two tone hat that I think looks quite nice. It is a very warm hat made with several layers of yarn and it feels soft to the touch. Good going!!

AUTUMN FESTIVAL
Wow, as I look at this picture I can see how the earthy Fall colors are highlighted. Very warm tones and the background pillow almost looks like a pile of leaves. This hat is double knit and very warm. This hat should keep any head warm in the chilly Autumn weather and on into the winter, as well.

CRANBERRY RELISH
The dark red yarn used in the making of this hat is one of my favorites. All the yarns are soft to the touch and combine to make a nice warm hat. But, the dark red color is my favorite. (And, cranberry relish is a favorite of mine, too.)

LITTLE LUMBERJACK
This is a rugged little hat for a rugged little guy. Perfect outdoors-y hat for all the cold temperatures. Double knit and thick!! Warmth for the ears. Tough tested, too.

LITTLE BROWNIE
I made this hat for my grandson. The wool is very soft and the predominately brown yarn has little flecks of orange and yellow in the fibers. The hat looks so cute on this very cute little boy.

THE SIGN
This post is more about the sign behind the hat. The hat is lovely and warm and a fun hat to wear. The sign really says it all, though. That is my belief.

PERKY PINKY PIGGY
Yikes! Now that I look at this I'm thinking it's kind of bright. What a contrast the dark red and pink yarns make and it's a lot more noticeable in the striped cuff area. Well, I hope someone likes it. It is knit from very soft yarn and the hat will certainly keep someone's head warm this winter. Go Pinky!!

EARTH TONES
Just a mix of neutral earth tone yarns combined in a double knit pattern makes this a warm hat for the cold weather outside. Goes with everything and it's soft, too. mmmmm

LITTLE BOOKWORM
No, the hat doesn't look like a worm. It's just propped up against a book shelf. Thus, the name. The hat is a very nice kid's size hat knit with pastel pieces of yarn left over from other projects. The mixed yarns come with their own story, like chapters in a book. So, the name is fitting, really. Snuggle up with a good book tonight. Stay warm.

A LOVELY START
It is a new year and I am thinking ahead to where my travels will take me this year. I am pretty much open for anything. I know I will be driving all over the USA. So... I made this hat. It is cold outside right now and this hat keeps my head very warm. The yarns have a lot of texture. The earthy colors look good on me. There are always two winters every year--at the beginning and the end. I'm all set. Let's go.
