ICE CREAM WITH A CHERRY ON TOP

TRAVEL TIME

Lets take a trip to France.  Here's our travel guide.  Looks like fun.  I'll pack my hat.  Let's go.

TWEEDY MIX

O.K., I used up the blue/green fleck yarn and mixed it with the royal blue yarn to get this tweed-like mix of colors for this hat.  It's soft and warm and I think any child will enjoy this hat this winter.

HAPPY STRIPES

Looking at this hat makes me very happy.  Wearing it would make me even happier.  I combined some very soft red yarn with a stripe-y variegated yarn and look what happened.  Stripes galore!

FLUFFY PASTEL

This is some of the softest yarn I have ever worked with.  The ball of yarn is very soft to the touch and the balled yarn has a very faint blend of colors.  When the yarn is knit, however, the color pattern really explodes (poof!) and the colors blend so beautifully.  I think I would like a pillow made from this yarn.  Oh, what comfort!!  And such a pretty hat, too.

the STEVEN

All blue.  Just right.  It's a great day.  Steven has a birthday today.  H.B. to you and many more.

HAT WITH ROSES

The cut roses in the vase are beautiful and seem to bring out the rosy pink color of the yarns in this hat.  What a lovely pair.  Enjoy!!

DINING IN

Hmmm...all you need is a good recipe and some stuff to make it with.  And a cool looking hat!

PASTELS

Beautiful soft pink yarn was used to make this hat.  The pastel candlesticks join with the hat to make a lovely artistic arrangement on the shelf in the living room.  Hmmm...is that a CLUE?  a candlestick in the living room?   Just one thing missing and that's...who done it???  Ya, it's a joke for sure.  haha

the MAGNOLIA

For this hat I used another skein of the fluffy yarn with the extra bits of knit fluff attached to it.  The puffy look gives it so much more dimension and adds to the very soft texture.  The magnolia tree that is in bloom in the backyard is so pretty.  The creamy white flowers look so delicate against the dark green leaves.       win/win

Look at this super soft hat posing next to this amazing piece of fine art!  Just look...and enjoy.

A BUNCH OF LILACS

This very soft knit hat reminds me of a sweater I wore, oh so long ago, when I was growing up in Minnesota.  The yarn is soft to the touch and sort of shaggy in appearance.  Maybe fluffy is a better description.  Anyway, it was fun to wear.  And a good memory.  This cozy little hat should definitely keep someone's little head warm this winter.  Such a pretty color.

the MAXWELL

Don't these owls look good standing next to this smart looking hat.  And, speaking of smart, I know a terrifically smart little boy who is having his birthday today.  H.B. Max!!!

TWEEDY BLUE

This hat is so soft.  The yarn is thick and that gives the brim a nice roll.  Warm.  Soft.  Perfect.

HIDING IN THE SHADOWS

I really like this hat.  The wool yarn is so thick and very soft to the touch.  I like the colors, too.  Someones little head is going to be very warm this winter.  I really like this hat...very very much.

the DANA

Journey to the sun?  Psychedelic trip?  No, just a knit hat laying in a beautiful glass bowl.  Looks sort of like one of those swirly twilight zone color wheels/black holes that is about to take the hat on some wonderful journey...somewhere.  Speaking of wonderful journeys, Dana, it's your day for one.  H.B.!!

SUNRISE ON THE PIER

I acquired some new yarn and I'm starting afresh.  I was at the beach with this sunny looking hat and I decided to take this picture out at the end of the SD pier.  This yarn is so soft.  It has a lot of colorful tuft-y bits of yarn mixed in with the yellow.  Thick and warm and ready for the cooler weather.  hi ho!

the WOODCARVER

I found this cute little woodcarving (of a woodcarver!) and I thought he would look nice sitting next to this adorable hat.  That's about it.  I like them both.

the LITTLEST ANGELS

There are little angels in heaven that are looking after us.  I know several of them.  They live on in our hearts.  We remember their achievements, their milestones and their birthdays.  To all of the littlest angels I say Happy Birthday!!  We love you.

KARI

I love the color combo of the yarns in this hat!!  The black separates and highlights the changing color pattern in the design.  Rather sophisticated, I think.  And, it's Kari's birthday today, too.  H.B. to an outstanding wife and mother,  caring nurse and all around wonderful person.  Cheers!!

the RAGAMUFFIN

This is literally bits and pieces time.  I used so many leftover yarns to make this hat that it has a charming piece meal look to it.  I think it turned out splendiferously.  Whatcha think??

NOELLE

I am using up bits and pieces of yarn that I have accumulated over a period of time.  I put these colors together because they just seemed to fit the color scheme for the Christmas holidays.  And so I present to you---NOELLE.

the CHERRY BOMB

Red yarns and variegated colored yarns of pink, green, taupe and white make up the color scheme for this hat.  Nice and thick and perfect for colder weather, this hat is sure to keep somebody's ear warm.

the EVERGREEN

Such a pretty green!  I love this color.  It reminds me of the forests and state parks in Minnesota.

DEAR FRIENDS

                      What a cozy pair these two are!!  A soft hat and a soft blanket.  Snoozy time.

ORANGE CRUSH

Umm...tasty.  I like orange crush and I like this hat, too.  Warm, double knit and perfect for the cold weather that is sure to come at some point even though it is about 80 degrees out right now.  Ho-hum.

HAPPY HAT

                          Bright.   Colorful.   Speckle-y.   Fun to wear.   Just makes me feel so happy.

EARLY HALLOWEEN

Just a bunch of orange and black yarns knit together to make one frighteningly lovely hat.  BOO!!!

the WORLD TRAVELLER

I really like the color scheme of this hat. It reminds me of Fall.  The brown yarn is very soft and has a nice shiny finish.  The lighter color yarn has dark flecks mixed in for additional texture.  The hat is very durably constructed, packs well and would be perfect travel apparel anywhere in the world.
