the TRAIL GUIDE
I came across this stacked pile of rocks along a trail that lead to a waterfall. They were purposefully stacked in a neat pile and reminded me of a trail marker. This rugged hat just seems to fit in with the terrain and so I present to you...the trail guide. Walk on.

the SNAKE RIVER SUSIE
Enjoy the vista! Yes, that is the Snake River in the background. This knit hat looks very Spring-y in color but it's thickness makes it warm enough for a very chilly day. The temperature outside today is about 80 degrees so I guess little Susie will have to wait to be worn another day (season). Pretty to look at though. The hat...and the river.

the CHILI PEPPER
This reminds me of a red chili pepper. Primarily red with a bit of green stem (and some white thrown in for good luck) it looks spicy enough. And the wearer?? SPICY!!! tooooo!

the PURPLE FLUFF
I got some new yarn the other day. This yarn sorta jumped out at me. Or should I say "It spoke to me". Well, anyway, I couldn't resist. The fluffy brim and tassel will look perfect on some little girl. Oh, and look at the beautiful rose. It is growing in my brother's garden in Oregon. So fragrant!!

the STEVE
This just looks like a hat that a guy named Steve might wear outside while doing a little yard work. I think so, anyway. What are your thoughts on the matter?

Reds and tans mixed together make up this striped roll brim hat. Perfect for a walk in the park. The squirrels seem to like it.

the LITTLE SCHOLAR
Somehow, a tweed-y hat and a leather chair just exude intelligence and tradition...or so I think. And so I present to you the little scholar. Read on.

the WINTER CAROUSEL
Look how thick and wooly this hat is. Perfect for a really chilly late Spring morning. And the carousel part? Well the purple spirals swirling around the hat mesmerize me in the same way a spinning carousel does with its continuous swirly movement. Got it?? ta da

the ROCKY TOP
The name for this hat comes from the treeless rocky area above the forest tree line. You can see (as portrayed in this hat design) the green trees stop their colorful growth at the point where vegetation can no longer be sustained. Thus...the ROCKY TOP (wow, serious talk for a fun hat, huh?)

the MOTHER'S DAY BONNET
Pretty as a picture. This lovely hat sits amongst the flowers just waiting to be worn. "Try me on", she whispers. "I shall", I reply. "Cherish your mothers today, as always." Again I reply "I shall".

the COLORADO BLUE
Where's the BLUE, you say!! Well let me tell you. This hat is named after this tree. It is a Colorado Blue Spruce. You can see the new light green growth on the tree. This hat has the darker colors at the base and a burst of light green at the top edge. Just like the tree. The hat is double thick and perfect for a chilly late Spring morning. Sorta, spruces up your day, don't you think? haha

the REDWOODS
It's chilly in the woods. Ancient redwood trees are hiding the sun's rays. Perfect day to wear a warm wooly hat. A hike in these woods is inspirational. It's a beautiful day for a hike!!

the MAY THE FOURTH
.....be with you! "Luke. Luke. You are my son. Why are you sitting on me?" "I'll never be like you. Good always wins out over evil. Fluffy hats always win the battle over limp flat hats anyway, Darth." side note: look at the waves rolling in to Crescent Bay. Yowza! Can the stormtroopers be far behind?

the STEINBECK
This hat is named in honor of John Steinbeck who was born in this house in Salinas, California. The hat barely fits the fence post but it will fit a child's head perfectly. Now, go read a book or something.
