Baby soft yarns in pink and white are knit together to make this cute little newborn size hat for someone's bundle of joy.  It is lightweight and loosely knit.  Just heavenly!

Bright red and orange...just like the sun.  The red solar flares (crown) explode from the core (brim) and fly outward (through the tassels) into space.  I can see it.  Can't you??

Ah,  yes, it's THAT day.  The day to beware of.....everything.  Just ask Julius C.  Oh, wait, you can't.  Brutus took care of him.  I mean, he really TOOK CARE of him.  The hat is nice, though.  Toasty warm and oh-so-soft.  The black color is ominous and the red color is...you know.  BEWARE!!!

the GULF WATER

The shades of green in this hat remind me of the waters we saw along the gulf near Corpus Christi, Texas.  The ever-changing shades of green as the waves lapped at the shore were calming and very beautiful.  The sounds, the sights and the colors were very peaceful.  

the TWINSIES

Two of a kind.  That's for sure.  Light and airy and ready for springtime wear.  And, did I mention           soft to the touch?  Well, they are!  Pastel-y, too.  haha  haha

This double knit hat combines warmth with an exciting color combination--blue and medium brown. Perfect for a chilly Texas winter morning.  Yes, they have winter weather in Texas, too.  Oh, by the way, somebody special is celebrating his 30th birthday today.  H. B. Justin!!

the STUDY IN PASTEL #4

Here are the four hats I knit using identical variegated color yarn and four corresponding pastel colored yarns.  The center front hat was knit with a light cream color yarn plus the multi colored yarn.  The four hats have a similar look because they are all the same size and shape plus they are made from the same variegated color yarn. The individual pastel color choices makes them unique.  Mission accomplished!

the STUDY IN PASTEL #3

This peachy version is the third in the series of hats using a pastel colored yarn combined with yarn that is variegated in color.  The peach tones are brought out in this lovely hat.  Still warm.  Still soft.

the STUDY IN PASTEL #2

Here is another hat knit from two yarns.  One is a pastel aqua yarn and the other is the variegated color yarn that I used in the hat I knit yesterday.  This time the aqua color is dominate even though the multi colored "control" yarn is the same.  Both are lovely, soft and warm.

the STUDY IN PASTEL #1

This hat was knit using two different pastel yarns--yellow and variegated colors including yellow.  This combination brings more of the yellow tones to the hat.  Tomorrow I will change up the color scheme by using one of the other colors in the variegated yarn and combining it with the matching solid color.  Let's see what the difference in makes.  Hmm...an ongoing experiment.

Hmmm...nice hat.  Colorful.  Warm.  Stylish.  Great companion for outdoor activities.  Does the job well.   Always there when you're in need.  Who am I kidding?  I'm not describing a hat.  I'm describing my son!  H.B. Jason.  (looking good)

Here's an outdoorsy kind of hat for an outdoorsy kind of guy.  Triple knit yarns are bound to keep the ears warm on an ultra chilly day.  Enjoy the weather in style!!  Oh, and, H. B. to you, Tim.  Rock on.  Oh, wait, that really is a rock that the hat is sitting on.  Rock on, hat.  No, hat on rock.  Silly me.

the AUNT RUTH

Here is a lovely hat named for a lovely lady who recently celebrated her 95th birthday.  Several layers of variegated yarns knit together give this hat the colorful look and feel of early Springtime.   And that turned up brim...well that's just saucy!!  H. B. Ruth!  And many more.
